Release Update (Final)


With this update, Rapyd Fire is officially releasing.

Notable new features include:

  • New UI fonts & assets courtesy of Kenney
  • Animations
  • Sound effects & music tracks courtesy of various Freesounds users (see Credits on the main page for more information)
  • Refactored jumping mechanics (ground check now uses the precise dimensions of the Player's collider rather than an approximate guess)

Regrettably, the Show Score Change logic still isn't working as intended, and I've finally figured out why: it's because my current logic depends on the specific dimensions of my Unity Game view, and thus doesn't work as intended on large screens. Maybe some day I'll come back and try to fix this, but for now I'm frankly out of time and need to move on.

On the up side, every other feature is working exactly as intended and this game is now by far the best it's ever been.
